Many folk not gonna like to hear this, but its plain & simple Truth. I am ALL for love for one another regardless of race, creed, belief system, etc. But there are too many Afrikans across the Diaspora AND in Afrika who are walking around with self hate issues. I was once one of them. It’s not been til I could look in the mirror and love ALL of what I saw (in its full rawness) and until I started embracing the beauty and rich history of my ancestors, of my people, that I even began understanding who I am. Only in that overstanding do we/can we awaken to fullness of love divine & not carry with us the weight of societal/cultural chains and dogma. Its one thing embracing other cultures/ways of living…. It says a totally different thing when you won’t embrace your own. #selfhatred has been taught to Afrikans globally to the point where it has evolved into an invisible culture. It’s time to shift & change by a simple willingness to talk about something that is considered #taboo You cant fix a problem if you wont even admit there’s a problem.
